House rules
1.
Our weekend house Akkerland is a pet-free house.
Note: visitors with pets are NOT allowed.
2.
It is prohibited to smoke in the house. There is an ashtray outside, please use it and empty it upon departure. No butts on the ground.
3.
From March 2022 you can enjoy the heated outdoor pool. Our swimspa with swimming possibility (counter current) and a jacuzzi area for 4 persons, is provided at the back in extension of the terrace. This swimming pool is not included in the price and can be booked and paid separately. Price per night: 60 euro - 55 euro when booking 3 nights or more - 50 euro when booking 8 nights or more.
There is a filter that continuously purifies the pool water. For hygiene reasons we ask not to consume drinks or food in the pool. Please only allow toilet-trained children. Do not let your children swim unsupervised, even if they can swim. The owners of Akkerland cannot be held responsible for any accidents.

It is wonderful to listen to music, but think of the neighbours. Before 8 a.m. and after 10 p.m. everyone likes to enjoy the peace and quiet.
5.
Candles are cosy, but do not leave them unattended. For your safety, there is fire detection in the house and you will find fire extinguishers upstairs and downstairs.
Open fire
The lighting of open fires other than barbecues is not permitted.
6.
Guests are welcome, but their visit must be announced to us in advance. It is not allowed that your (day)visitors stay overnight, without our permission and knowledge.
7.
Our accommodation is exclusively intended for recreational purposes. You are not allowed to use our houses in any other way than for which they are intended, i.e. not for celebrating parties etc., in the broadest sense of the word. It is also not allowed to place one or more tents, folding trailers, caravans, etc. in or near the accommodation.
8.
You are obliged to use the bed linen. It is not allowed to take the bed linen and other bedding outside.
Upon departure, you must remove the used bed linen from the beds and place it in the laundry basket in the storage room.
Towels that have not been used can be left in the closet. The remaining towels can be left to dry. Cleaning is not always done immediately after your departure!
9.
Furniture for inside the house has to stay inside the house, please leave chairs etc. inside.
10.
Parasol and screens should be retracted in case of strong wind and rain.
11.
Dishwasher / Garbage cans must be empty before your departure, as well as the refrigerator and freezer.
12.
Empty bottles: You have to bring your own, there is a glass container in the Zandvoordestraat at Zandvoorde.
Waste: you can put your waste sorted according to PMD (blue bag), household refuse (white bag) and paper/cardboard (in the container for paper and cardboard) in the garden closet at the side of the house.
13.
It is not allowed to deep-fry in the house. Also gourmet and raclette are NOT allowed.
14.
Have you made any damage or breakage, be so decent and report it to us.

Hanging up garlands with tape, double sided tape, nails, pins etc. and the use of confetti/crepe paper etc. is not allowed.
16.
For hygienic reasons, we ask you to always leave the towels provided in the sauna, in order to catch your perspiration, also on your feet! This way, the sauna stays clean after your use. Tip: take a shower first and dry off well. It is all the more pleasant for your company when you enter the sauna fresh.
If the house rules are not complied with, we reserve the right to take appropriate measures and to charge all or part of any resulting costs.
What is not included in the final cleaning fee?
After each stay, our house is professionally cleaned. This is included in the price.
What do we ask from you? At departure:
* Remove bed linen from the beds and put it in the laundry basket.
* Leave clean dishes in the cupboard, empty dishwasher.
* Lights off and fridge empty
* screens up, umbrellas closed, curtains down at the back
* Deposit household waste in the container provided outside. Glass yourself in the glass container: there is a glass container in the Zandvoordestraat in Zandvoorde.
Unfortunately, it happens quite often that people leave their rubbish, full dishes, empty bottles, beds that are still made, etc. in the house after leaving.
This costs the cleaning staff extra time and therefore money. In order not to confront every guest with a higher cleaning fee, we have decided to deduct the extra cleaning costs from the deposit only for those who have not left the house according to our house rules.
We trust for your understanding and hope never to have to apply these deductions.

General rules:
Deposit
The deposit is €300, depending on the length of your stay. In the event of higher damages, we reserve the right to recover them from the tenant. So that you can possibly appeal to your travel or family insurance.
If you do not report any damage or defects during your stay, and these are discovered during an inspection of the property, and a company has to come in to repair the damage, you will be held responsible for the costs of repair.
Damage
If you discover any damage or shortcomings after your arrival at the property, please inform us immediately. If any damage or shortcomings arise during your stay, please report them to us as soon as possible. Actions can then be taken immediately to minimise the consequences, any subsequent damage and inconvenience (both for you and the next guests). Also, it is not necessarily the case that you will always have to pay for the damage caused, it can also be normal wear and tear. Consequential damage or inconvenience to the next tenant caused by failure to report damage, whether or not caused by you as tenant, can reasonably also be recovered from you.
Landlord's liability: The landlord cannot be held liable for theft, accidents or damage occurring during the stay on his premises, except if it is the result of a gross shortcoming, which can be attributed to him. In case of cancellation due to force majeure such as war, strike, natural disasters, exceptional weather conditions, death of the owner etc. the landlord can terminate the contract without compensation. If the agreement is cancelled through no fault of the lessor, the tenant is entitled to an equivalent or better alternative or to the repayment of the part of the rent already paid.
The landlord has the right to check and inspect the holiday home during the rental period.
Termination of rental. If the hirer, his family members, his guests or visitors allowed by him do not comply or do not comply properly with the obligations from the conditions, the rules of conduct, the directions of the lessor or the government regulations, despite any prior warning, and to such an extent that that, according to the standards of reasonableness and fairness, the landlord cannot be expected to continue the rental, the landlord or his appointed deputy has the right to terminate the agreement with immediate effect, and to deny the tenant and fellow tenants access to the accommodation, without refunding any rental fee. This includes, in particular, not respecting the night's rest or causing unnecessary inconvenience.
Arrival and departure
Arrival is possible between 17.00 & 20.00 hours.
Should you arrive later than 20.00 hours, no problem, but please let us know in time so we can make the necessary arrangements.
On the day of departure, the latest check-out time is 10.00 hours, unless agreed otherwise.
Keys can be left in the house itself.
Occupancy
Staying with more persons than agreed upon in the reservation, is explicitly not allowed without our permission and can lead to us ending the rental agreement prematurely. We have a permit for a maximum of 8 persons to stay. More cannot be admitted.
Use and occupancy by 6 persons maximum + possibly 2 children up to 2 years, using a cot (to be brought by yourself).
By booking, you automatically agree to our rules and conditions.
